The goal of this project was to entirely revise a retirement tax webinar presentation to ensure it was both informative and engaging, while also adhering to the tax firm's branding. Some of the math was presented in a way that was too complex to follow. Additionally, the presentation's tone seemed a bit too casual, and the narrative structure was inconsistent, making it hard to follow. There was also a lack of visual elements to tie everything together, which made it challenging for the audience.

 

I started by creating a template that adhered to the firm's branding guidelines. I then added an agenda that logically split the presentation into four sections: pre-retirement, early retirement, mid retirement and late retirement. Subsequently, I reorganized the entire presentation to follow this agenda and ensure that the examples provided were highlighted in their respective sections. I removed some of the extraneous information that made the math hard to understand and added animation for an easy-to-follow narrative; and I included straightforward explanations of certain obscure tax concepts prior to the slides that explored these concepts in greater detail.
